  1. Gary Lyon opened the footy show saying “congratulations” to the Essendon players for the not guilty l verdict. Congratulations just doesn’t seem like the right or appropriate word to describe anything in relation to the Essendon saga and this choice of word was quite frankly in poor taste. Then Sam Newman rising to music of Jesus Christ Superstar just because of his views in relation to the Essendon saga was just stupid. The opening few minutes just completely missed the mark and resulted and the footy show being turned off.
