On Saturday Channel [V] airs its Island Parties concert on Sydney Harbour featuring UK singer Charli XCX, who is currently touring Australia.
British singer songwriter Charli XCX is world famous for her unique and rebellious sound, chart topping hits, and collabs with international stars including Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora. Charli XCX has just kicked off her national tour with the Groovin the Moo Festival and her own set of energetic live shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
At just 22, Charli XCX burst onto the world music scene in 2012 after co-writing and featuring on “I Love It” with Swedish synthpop duo Icona Pop. Things continued to heat up for the star in 2013 after she dropped her critically acclaimed debut album True Romance, and her second album Sucker earned the title of sixth best album of 2014 by Rolling Stone.
