MTV teen comedy Faking It has been renewed for a third season.
The comedy about two best friends mistakenly seen by friends as a lesbian couple and nominated as homecoming Queens, was renewed as part of its Upfronts announcements, including Middle of the Night Show, described as a reinvention of the late-night comedy talk show, and renewals for The Challenge, Broke A$$ Game Show and Are You the One?
“We’re exploding our development process across screens — getting faster, more daring, putting more projects into play and taking bigger swings than ever,” MTV president Stephen Friedman said. “We’ve exponentially expanded the ways we connect with our audience and deliver for our advertisers.”
Faking It is one of only two scripted comedies the network currently has on its schedule, with Awkward set for a fifth and final season.
Both air in Australia on MTV.
