Poland brings a touch of elegance with its likeable, inoffensive ballad, In the Name of Love.

One of two acts that bring disability to centrestage this year, and reminding us of the theme, Building Bridges.

Monika Kuszyńska – In The Name Of Love (Poland) (Eurovision Song Contest: Second Semi Final)

Monika Kuszyńska is the Polish choice for the 60th Eurovision Song Contest. The singer has a strong Eurovision message – “to build the bridge of tolerance in the name of love”.

Monika Kuszyńska is a Polish singer and songwriter. She started her music career as a soloist of the Polish band Varius Manx in 2001. Together they released four albums.

After a tragic car accident in 2006, Monika remained partially paralysed and to this day she moves in a wheelchair. She couldn’t continue her career as singer, but didn’t give up her dream to perform on stage again. She didn’t submit to despair and helpless passivity.

  1. oh.. that was a surprise. At first I was only liking the beautiful room with the gorgeous Steinway. Now I have to go and read your post to see if there’s a heads-up about the wheelchair.
