Portugal’s Leonor Andrade is another of the many contestants this year who is a former talent show contender, in this case The Voice.

Leonor Andrade – Há um Mar que nos Separa (Portugal) (Eurovision Song Contest: Second Semi Final)

Leonor Andrade was born on the 13th September 1994. Her first contact with music was at the age of four, when she started to play the piano. Now she will represent Portugal at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with the song Ha Um Mar Que Nos Separa.

The piano is Leonor’s instrument of choice to compose her songs. She has always sung. The first serious musical experience was when she had her first band, Mariacaffe, a Portuguese rock band, with her brother and two friends.

Later, she realised she really wanted to have a musical career and tried her luck at The Voice of Portugal. She was in Anselmo Ralph’s team and made it to the semifinals.
