Tracy Grimshaw returned to the desk at A Current Affair last night and thanked well-wishers for their messages of support following her horse-riding accident.
“A big thank you for your many get well messages after my recent accident. It meant so much to be in your thoughts,” she said.
“I got off comparatively lightly from the accident and that’s partly due to great medical care.
“But mostly due to wearing a helmet. I’ve no doubt I’d be dead without it.”
Her words illustrated just how dramatic her accident on May 7th was, resulting in her being flown by Careflight to emergency.
“Never go riding without a helment and don’t let your friends do it. It’s a life and death decision,” she said.
“It’s great to be back.”

Workplace Health and Safety in QLD requires all employees riding horses to wear a helmet on the job, if they don’t they are in breach of an Act. Equestrian folk wear helmets. Persons with Ms Grimshaw’s knowledge of horses one would think she would think it was a given to wear one. But, sadly, we all learn the hard way. Gave up on a Current Affair too many years ago to remember. It is good she survived, her word on the subject might get through and help others understand the hazards involved
I just saw the poll on this site and how is andrew bolt the most bias? And by that much, just because u disagree with his views doesn’t make him bias, I would say his the most balanced we have got, all the rest have a left bend
Totally irrelevant to this article, but I’ll bite:
Showing both sides always in a good light is not necessarily biased.
Showing both sides always in a bad light is not necessarily biased.
Showing just one side is not necessarily biased, but it often looks like it.
Showing one side always in a good light & the other always in a bad light is biased.
Showing one side always in a good light & the other always in a bad light, then telling people that one side is bad and the other is good, is very biased.
Well I don’t think he does that, but each there own, his more in the middle then anybody on abc
