The 2015 Encore Score, commissioned by Mumbrella publishers Focal Attractions, asks 3000 Australians to rate 1000 figures on recognition and favouritism. The list is intended for media and casting consideration.

3 Eric Bana
4 Olivia Newton John
5 Anh Do
6 Hamish Blake
7 Rebecca Gibney
8 Amanda Keller
9 Nicole Kidman
10 Simon Baker

The Bottom 10 (1 = least popular)
1 Rolf Harris
2 Tony Abbott
3 Kyle Sandilands
4 Joe Hockey
5 Clive Palmer
6 Pauline Hanson
7 Ben Cousins
8 Tom Waterhouse
9 Brynne Edelsten

The curator of the Encore Score, Brooke Hemphill, says: “In the two years since the Encore Score data was last collected, there’s been some serious movement for some big names. We’re most intrigued by the faces to watch such as The Project’s Waleed Aly and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli. They have clearly made quite an impression on the public in that time.”

The Bachelor‘s Blake Garvey and My Kitchen Rules‘ Pete Evans, were also among the most disliked.

  1. So TA is slightly more popular than a sex offender… what amazing insight, I don’t remember Julia G or K Rudd getting this kind of “treatment” this is another survey run by left leaning media to make the usual suspects look bad.

Also where is Carrie Bickmore if this survey was meant to be so relevant?

    1. I think your tin foil hat is leading you astray again. Politician’s rankings in survey results have more to do with who’s in govt at the time rather than the political persuasion of the 3000 people who were surveyed. They were random members of the public and the survey results include a breakdown by sex, age, location, and how people access media. The Top/Bottom 10 lists are just to get headlines and promote their product.

As for the treatment that Gillard and Rudd received during their time in power, you must have a very short or selective memory. Gillard endured the worst overt displays of hatred in the media over a sustained period that I can recall any political figure receiving.

    1. I thought Brynne was American.

Personally I rather liked her. She’s ditsy and over the top but seems like a nice lady. Not really worthy to be on the most hated list.

  2. Honestly very surprised Olivia and Nicole got so high on the list, I know they are popular but I thought it was more of a declining popularity

  3. Can’t stand the guy – but it’s a bit unfair on Kyle Sandilands, isn’t it? I would’ve figured he’d be more like 5th or 7th least popular…
