John Stamos arrested for drink driving

Actor John Stamos has been arrested in Beverly Hills for drink driving.

The former Full House star was arrested on Friday night following complaints about an erratic driver near Santa Monica Blvd.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where subsequent investigation confirmed he was under the influence, and placed under arrest for DUI.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11, just weeks before his new family sitcom Grandfathered will premiere on FOX.

Stamos will also appear in Netflix’s upcoming Fuller House sequel, of which he is a producer, in 2016.

In 2007 Stamos appeared on Australian TV with Kerri-Anne Kennerley, of which he later said, “When I went on that morning show, I was drunk. Yes, I was on sleeping pills and I was jet-lagged, but I was also just plastered. And I never said I wasn’t, but that whole Warner Bros. publicity machine got involved and said, ‘Just say he was jet-lagged.” I said, “No, tell ’em the truth! I was f***ing drunk in Australia. Big deal.’”
