Luke Jacobz facing drink-driving charge

X Factor host Luke Jacobz has been charged with a mid-range drink-driving offence, according to media reports.

Fairfax reports he was was pulled over on Anzac Parade, Moore Park at 11.20am on May 31, returning an alleged blood-alcohol reading of .116. He was charged under his real name Luke Jacob Ashwood.

Court documents state it is Jacobz’s second alleged drink-driving offence.

The matter was adjourned until July 15.

Update: In a statement Jacobz later apologised saying it wa a wake-up call on the effects of alcohol.

“I thought I would be OK to drive but I couldn’t have been more wrong,” he said in the statement.
“I made a bad decision and I apologise to the court and the police for taking up their time on this matter. “
