Former rugby union player Nathan Sharpe (pictured second from right) will join the commentary line-up for TEN’s 2015 Rugby Championship.

Matt White will host the broadcast this year, with additional commentary by Matt Burke, Gordon Bray and Scott Mackinnon.

“I am really excited to be working with Network TEN alongside Matt, Burkey, Gordon and Scott,” Sharpe said.

“My aim is to deliver interesting, insightful comments and a real understanding of the game from a forward’s perspective for viewers to enjoy.”

TEN Head of Sport, David Barham, said: “Nathan Sharpe has left an indelible impression on the game and his knowledge and understanding will bring an undeniably brilliant and fresh element to our broadcast.”

TEN’s Live rugby coverage begins at Suncorp Stadium when the Wallabies take on the Springboks on July 18, followed by the Pumas on July 25 in Argentina and the Bledisloe Cup matches on August 8 and 15 at ANZ Stadium and Eden Park respectively.

  1. Wasn’t Matty White doing the car racing on 10? when is it on as I have not seen any advertising for it yet, or are Foxtel doing the bulk of it?. What else does Mat do for 10 these days.

    1. Matt White hosts RPM, Formula 1 ‘live events’, V8 Supercars ‘live events’ and Rugby Union. There is two different types of car racing which are V8s and Formula 1. The V8s will be live with Matt White on July 11-12 and the next round of live coverage is in Belgium for Formula 1

  2. So Nathan Sharpe replaces Stirling Mortlock who will probably be seen on FOX Sports coverage of Wallabies games. I thought that TEN also had rights to the IRB World Cup but recently I learnt that Nine still has them hopefully they will have better coverage this time around. 4 years ago it wasn’t that good.
