Bryan Singer is developing a new series on World War III for cable network Spike TV in the US.

Variety reports World War III will follow one man with a troubled past who will galvanize a resistance movement, calling upon ordinary citizens to become the heroes of WWIII.

When the world’s geopolitical balance shifts and the next global conflict explodes, America’s heartland will become Occupied Territory.

Series creators Aaron and Matthew Benay are co-writing.

As well as his X Men, The Usual Suspects and Superman Returns films, Singer has also produced and directed House with Hugh Laurie.

  1. Who is going to be the enemy?-the recent ‘Red Dawn’ remake was forced to change the villains from the Chinese to the North Koreans while it was being made in a laughable attempt to not annoy the ‘commies’ the US trades and negotiates with-similarly the ‘Tomorrow When The War Began’ film never stated who the enemy was supposed to be, despite a quick glance at a map showing it was rather unlikely to be Nepal attacking northern Australia.
