Nickelodeon has confirmed its line=up for SlimeFest 2015, to be held in Sydney and Melbourne in September.

Appearing are U.S. band and YouTube act Boyce Avenue, The Veronicas, Timmy Trumpet and Savage, At Sunset, Reece Mastin and Samantha Jade.

Hosts and celebrity guests will be announced in coming weeks.

SlimeFest is a family-friendly music festival, featuring stars, DJs, live performances by local and international artists and tonnes of Nickelodeon’s trademark green slime. Sydney will be slimed on Friday, 25th September for two shows – 11am and 6pm and Melbourne on Sunday, 27 September for two shows – 11am and 6pm.

Hailing from Florida, SlimeFest headliner, Boyce Avenue has almost two billion views on YouTube and seven million subscribers, making them the “most viewed” independent band in the world. The band is made up of brothers Alejandro, Daniel and Fabian.

“Australia is always one of our favourite places to travel to and we love our Aussie fans! We’re thrilled to be back as part of Nickelodeon’s SlimeFest tour…who’s ready for some slime?!” said Boyce Avenue.

Aussie rock twins, Lisa and Jessica Origliasso aka The Veronicas have had plenty of experience with the green goo as former hosts alongside Zac Efron at the Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in 2007.

“We were last slimed by Zac Efron, so we can’t wait to get back to Australia and get our slime on with Nickelodeon and all of our incredible fans this year!” said The Veronicas.

Recently taking out the #1 spot in the 2015 inthemix50 poll of Australia’s favourite DJs and Producers, Aussie DJ Timmy Trumpet will join New Zealand rapper Savage (who rocked Slime Fest last year) on-stage to get their “Freaks” on – a performance sure to get the crowd jumping.

Making their SlimeFest debut, Aussie boy band, At Sunset and SlimeFest ‘second-timers’ Samantha Jade and Reece Mastin will also face the mess and mayhem of the super-charged, slime-drenched crowd.

“I can’t wait to get back to SlimeFest, it’s always loud and crazy and I have a feeling that this year is going to be the best yet!” said Reece Mastin.

Tickets are on-sale today via Ticketmaster.

To produce SlimeFest, Nickelodeon has partnered with Nice Events, a company produced by the Directors of BigDog Creative and Killrockstar Entertainment, focusing on family and youth entertainment.

A 90 minute special will air on Nickelodeon on Monday, 28 September at 5pm.
