Controversial Q & A participant Zaky Mallah is part of a proposed programme under consideration for The Feed on SBS 2, The Australian reports.

The proposal would see him paired with outspoken Go Back to Where You Came From participant and “Stop the Boats” Facebook campaigner Kim Vuga.

SBS managing director Michael Ebeid told newspaper, “There is a proposal floating around but no filming confirmed yet.

“And yes I am aware they are throwing around a few ideas.”

Freelance producer John MacFarlane has proposed SBS film at “Zaky’s parents house”, “a restaurant in the eastern suburbs (of Sydney) or inner west, home turf of Green party lefties” and a “Cronulla cafe.”

But executive producer Nick Hayden said, “I can’t comment on anything because no decision has been made either way.”

Kim Vuga said she would not be involved in a programme with Mallah.

“I don’t think the Australian public wants to see Zaky Mallah given any platform,” she said.

Update: In a statement SBS said, “The idea that Zaky Mallah is being given his own show is completely incorrect.

“SBS had confirmed to the journalist that this was not true, yet he decided to run with an incorrect headline.

“A freelance journalist had pitched a potential story idea to The Feed, SBS’s youth news and current affairs program, that could have involved Zaky Mallah in a story segment.

“The idea was pitched to SBS but no filming had been booked and it had not even progressed past an idea.”

  1. Just News Corp throwing mud again!!!

Funny how The Australian is against the Public Broadcasters, yet this same paper runs at a loss so it can receive tax concessions from the Tax Payer!! Hmmmm????????

  2. Seems this was just some BS that the Murdoch rags dreamt up in order to stir up a bit more fud. Shame this bog ran with it, but I guess that’s reporting these days, “print now, research maybe”.

  3. Neither of them are particularly palatable but If I had to pick one, I’d rather that Mallah be given airtime than Vuga. She’s just nasty.

    1. Once upon a time The Australian was one of the best media reporting outlets in the country. Now it’s just agenda-driven gossip and half-truths. Problem is that our PM regards that paper as a national treasure.

      1. The Australian is also owned by the Murdoch family, and is basically The Daily Telegraph catered to society’s so-called “upper crust”. They deceive the less educated with The Daily Telegraph while deceiving the “educated” with The Australian.
