ABC appoints Washington, Beijing foreign correspondents
Zoe Daniel will take up Washington post while Matthew Carney will become Beijing bureau chief.

ABC foreign correspondent Zoe Daniel has been appointed as ABC’s Washington bureau chief. She has previously been based in South Africa and Bangkok.
In April Washington correspondent Lisa Millar was named London Bureau Chief.
Zoe Daniel has covered African stories on Robert Mugabe, Sierra Leone, conflict in Darfur and Southern Sudan, whilst in Bangkok she covered the ongoing political turmoil, Burmese democracy and the Rohingya refugee crisis.
She will take up her new role at the end of the year.
Meanwhile Tokyo correspondent Matthew Carney will become Beijing bureau chief in the New Year, taking over from Stephen McDonell.

Excellent appointment she is terrific. Unfortunately we will not see her as much, but she is wasted doing stand ups. Rather Trioli go to Washington and Zoe to Breakfast !
