The A-Team is the latest US series getting a remake.
Deadline reports 20th Century Fox TV is developing a contemporary take on Stephen J. Cannell’s 1980s action series.
The original ran for five seasons and revolved around four former commandos-turned-mercenaries — John “Hannibal” Smith (George Peppard), Templeton “Faceman” Peck (Dirk Benedict), H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock (Dwight Schultz) and strongman, B.A. (Bad Attitude) Baracus (Mr. T) -making a pop-culture star of the latter (he had previously made a few films).
The new A-Team revolves around a diverse team of American Special Forces operatives, but will include both male and female members. The group has been framed for a crime they didn’t commit and set out to clear their names by uncovering the black-ops conspiracy that set them up.
Sleepy Hollow executive producer Albert Kim is writing the new version. Fast & Furious writer-producer Chris Morgan will executive produce the project with Cannell’s daughter, TV director Tawnia McKiernan.
The A-Team was also reworked as a feature starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson and Sharlto Copley in 2010.

Why do they keep inflicting this rubbish on us another wasted hour have they run out of ideas.
Oh god no. It’s a show very much of its time and the movie remake just didn’t connect with audiences. Leave it be.
Follywood is at it, again.
Wonder what are the chances of fellow Stephen J Cannell series Renegade getting revived as well perhaps this time a female fugitive as its protagonist.
Enough. Please make them stop.
Remakes don’t cut it for me…
It’ll probably end up on foxtel.
