New Netflix drama Narcos has been renewed for a second season, just one week out from its premiere.
The series is based on the true-life story of the growth and spread of cocaine drug cartels during the 1970s and ’80s.
It centres on notorious Colombian cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) and Javier Peña (Pedro Pascal), a Mexican DEA agent sent to Colombia on a U.S mission to capture and ultimately kill him.
Written by Chris Brancato and directed by Jose Padilha, the series has also received some applause for coaxing US viewers towards foreign-language drama, with a high-proportion of subtitles deftly mixed with English-speaking characters.

amazing series. Netflix original shows like Narcos , HOC and Bloodline are truely all excellent
I have just started watching this show and I like it a lot. Another Netflix Gem I must say.
