Perth railway yard worker ‘Big T’ was eliminated from The X Factor last night, falling short of the necessary votes to proceed to the 2015 Grand Final.

After Cyrus and duo Jess & Matt qualified for the grand final, ‘Big T’ and Louise Adams faced off in a final sing-off. But Dannii threw the vote to a tie, which saw the Perth-based singer miss out on the public vote.

“I’d like to thank X Factor for this journey of a lifetime. If you’ve got a dream, anything is possible if you work hard. To everyone here, good luck and may the best person win,” he said.

Mentor Chris Isaak added, “Look at how far he’s come. I’m so proud of him.”

Next week 31 year old Louise Adams from Mount Gambier, 19 year old Cyrus Villanueva from Wollongong, and Sydney’s Jess & Matt, both 24, compete for the 2015 title and a Sony record deal.

The two-night extravaganza includes performances by sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Jason Derulo, Rudimental and judge James Blunt.

  1. Is it just me, or was anyone else put off by Big T’s lack of diction? The guy’s got talent, but every time he boganised a word while singing I cringed. I think his elimination has handed Cyrus the win though. I imagine Cyrus and T might have been splitting votes. I’ll still be cheering on Jess & Matt though!

  2. Sorry to quibble; but Louise Adams must be older than 23? To be in the overs category and if she graduation from law and quit working as a lawyer; I expect her to be late 20’s – maybe that number should be 33? I’m a bit torn on whether she should have made the final. She is distinctive but as Guy pointed out pretty one note, so to speak. Big T is X Factor to a T (sorry for that). Cyrus is gonna win anyway!

    1. Louise wasn’t very good on Monday – Big T was much better. I thought he should have gone last week, but he definitely redeemed himself, whereas Louise was the worst performer this week.

I completely agree with you daveinprogress – as does Chris Isaak – his comment last night – she does the same thing every time.

        1. Agree with the two comments above..
Louise has always been one of my favourite contestants because she is a true muso / artist, not afraid to take risks. Love her edginess.
As likeable as he is, Big -T just isn’t up to the standard of the rest of the remaining contestants – agree that most of his performances have just beent good karaoke/cruise ship fare.
But he did step up last night and was actually better than Louise who performed a couple of really dull, uninspiring songs and was a little lack-lustre.
          Overall, she is great though.
But I think Cyrus will win as he has the best voice and is versatile.
