With such a depth of talent of great female journalists and presenters such as Geraldine Dougue, Leigh Sales, Emma Alberici, Sally Neighbour etc etc I find this choice a bit puzzling, even the most diehard/ardent Drum watchers would admit that Julia Baird hasn’t exactly set the world of The Drum on fire, in my opinion she more of a drag on The Drum rather than an asset.
She’s done well on The Drum, was wasting some of her talent just writing op-eds for Fairfax.
