Who said there wasn’t room for more cooking shows on TV?
Seven is casting for an unnamed “Dessert Show” project.
“The search is on for contestants to take part in a new dessert making competition,” says a casting notice.
“Contestants will have to show off their cooking skills as they work against the clock, to impress the judges and deliver amazing dishes.
“We’re looking for home-cooks who are passionate about baking and desserts.”
To enter you must be at least 18 years of age on May 1st, an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.
Foxtel has had much success with The Great Australian BakeOff after Nine played the series in troubled timeslots.
Presumably due in the second half of 2016, it isn’t clear if the project is another big budget reality show, or summer filler such as Aussie BBQ Heroes.
Applications close January 31st here.

Surely that barrel has no bottom now.
A new dessert show… Sweet as Bro!
Ideas Dessert…
What’s the saying? “Too many cooks will spoil the broth”. Lets hope this one is the one that spoils all of the other cooking shows.
No. No. No. No. No.
What a truely new an unique idea! Amazing.
And you wonder why people get obese…..food….food….food
Another cooking show? Keep it out of prime time please.
I Agree. 2015 has seen expensive cooking reality shows like Hotplate, RR & Aussie BBQ Heroes. Gives me the creeps!
Maybe for a change, someone should do a renovation show?
How about less of reno shows from now on
