Coldplay, Beyonce & Bruno Mars believe in a Love-in at a psychedelic half-time show at Super Bowl.

It was a psychedelic, multicultural love-in for the 2016 Super Bowl Halftime show with a flower-adorned Coldplay opening with Viva La Vida.
Across an energetic medley Chris Martin led the band with Paradise and Adventure of a Lifetime.
He was joined by a diverse group of young string, brass and percussion performers, and was surrounded by frenzied fans bringing the stadium to life.
“Wherever you are, we’re in this together,” he beamed down the camera.
But then special guests took centrestage as Bruno Mars performed Uptown Funk and Beyonce sang Formation (including a dance routine on grass, no less).
All three joined forces for Fix You with video highlights of the last 50 years of Halftime acts: James Brown, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Paul McCartney, U2 -complete with adapted tribute lyrics- and the words “Believe In Love” across the stadium.
Earlier Lady Gaga also wowed the crowd with an on-point rendition of the National Anthem.

Hey David, just thought i’d let you know that the Coldplay song with the lyrics “When i Ruled the world” is actually called Viva La Vida.
No worries!
Interesting to note Seven switching from NFL network’s feed to CBS’s midway through the second quarter. The CBS feed was by far an improvement so I’m not complaining, but strange nonetheless…
The American National Anthem is always amazing!
Just having the music playing live on the piano makes a major difference,
Whenever the Aussie Anthem is played it is always to the same official backing track.
The singer cant really do anything with it… The tempo is set and its over and done with in 2 minutes
Bey *dead from the slayage*
The AFL don’t need to look to Superbowl for inspiration – the budget, resources, access to performers and rehearsal time just don’t compare – they should just take a look at Cold Chisel at last year’s NRL grand final. So much more atmosphere and engagement than anything the AFL has put together.
Rock acts at the Grand Final are always far better than pop acts. Just compare Bryan Adams last year to Ellie Goulding for instance. That doesn’t mean the AFL can’t learn from the NFL however. More specifically, broadcasters like Seven should look to the US sports broadcasters to see where they can improve.
Lady Gaga gosh she can sing!! <3
Bruno Mars was like that annoying cousin on Xmas day that you just cant get rid of…..
Bruno Mars bust a move. Funny how we can both see the same thing, but from a different angle.
Although I gather they don;t have the same budget – the AFL can learn a lot from this. Notice they didn’t have a crappy stage in the vast emptiness of a footy field. They filled it with dancing fans [maybe on a special entry ticket?] Gave it so much life. Get a couple of good performers / bands together to give more life to the stage [rather than a solo guy trying to work a crowd that seems miles away]… Looked great!
Shame they didn’t have Hooray for Everything performing Half Time of my Life.
This performance from Coldplay was fantastic to watch. I enjoyed listening to Paradise, Fix You because these songs were so popular in the past decade.
best one I’ve seen so far. Shame it wasn’t completely dark. Would’ve made for a spectacular light show. Have no idea what teams are even playing though.
From Lady Gaga singing the National Anthem, to Marlee Matlin doing it in sign language to Coldplay with Beyoncé and BrunoMars at the Halftime Show everything was brilliant.
