Seven Melbourne broadcasts the 2016 Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Live on Channel 7 tomorrow.

Seven stars will be out in force for the event based at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) with Live crosses to the Royal Children’s Hospital from 9am – midnight. The Good Friday Appeal Night Show airs from 7pm following Seven News.

Interestingly, with the launch of PLUS7 streaming last year, this also makes it the first year interstate viewers will be able to view the telethon, simply by changing their location on PLUS7 settings (and remembering AEDT times).

The telecast will get underway at 9am with Bruce McAvaney, Tim Watson and Cameron Ling live from the Royal Children’s Hospital sharing firsthand the inspiring stories of doctors, nurses, children and families.

Cast members and presenters from Channel 7 hit shows Home And Away, The Chase, My Kitchen Rules, Sunrise, Better Homes And Gardens, 800 Words, and Molly Meldrum with his little maltese shih-tzu cross Ziggy following closely behind, will pay special visits to children at the Royal Children’s Hospital before joining our Good Friday Appeal Night Show panels.

From 7pm, the Good Friday Appeal Night Show will have you jiving along to live performances from Home and Away’s Samantha Jade, The X Factor’s Cyrus, country star Adam Brand, Australian tenor Mark Vincent and Rob Mills’ super-group Swing On This.

Hamish McLachlan will lead a Sporting Legends panel that includes Paralympic gold medalist Dylan Alcott, basketballer Andrew Gaze, Olympic gold medalist Steve Hooker and footballers Luke Darcy and Matthew Richardson.

Following a performance from musical comedy trio Tripod, Sunrise’s Edwina Bartholomew will host Comedy Hour for the final panel with Cal Wilson, Felicity Ward and a stand-up segment from English comedian Stephen K Amos.

The Good Friday Appeal Night Show is a fully-ticketed primetime concert and the last round of tickets are available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.com.au or by phoning 13 61 00. All proceeds are donated to the Good Friday Appeal.

The Good Friday Appeal telecast starts at 9am on Friday March 25 on Channel 7, with a break for the Seven News 6pm bulletin, and from there we launch into the Good Friday Appeal Night Show from 7pm until midnight.
