Returning: Good Friday Appeal

Larry Emdur, Peter Mitchell, Rebecca Maddern, Hamish McLachlan host annual Seven fundraiser with performers including Kate Ceberano, Anthony Callea, Rob Mills.

Seven Network broadcasts the annual Good Friday Appeal from midday on Seven in Melbourne and nationally on 7plus.

Hosts Larry Emdur and Peter Mitchell, Rebecca Maddern, Jane Bunn and Mike Amor will be joined by stars from Sunrise, Home and Away, Farmer Wants A Wife, Blow Up, The Chase Australia, 7NEWS and 7SPORT, plus comedians and musicians from around the country.

The annual Good Friday AFL match takes screens from 4.00pm, when North Melbourne take on Carlton in the SuperClash at Marvel Stadium to raise funds for the Appeal.

From 7.30pm, Larry Emdur, Hamish McLachlan, Peter Mitchell and Rebecca Maddern will host with Mark Beretta at the Country Board and Paul Dowsley from the phone room.

Performers include Kate Ceberano, Anthony Callea, Rob Mills, Home and Away’s Matt Evans and Australian Idol winner Royston Noell.

Panellists will include Stephen Curry, Abbey Holmes, Matthew Richardson, Brad Hodge and Damien Fleming, Lynne McGranger, Ada Nicodemou, Shane Withington, Emily Weir, Adam Rowland, Stephanie Panozzo, Angelina Thomson, Ross Noble, Dilruk Jayasinha, Cal Wilson, Brett Blake and Diana Nguyen.

  1. It’s good that they’re on 7Plus. It could go to 7 Two for more linear exposure. The added exposure certainly showed in the Perth hospital telethon where they were getting donations from as far away as Yepoon. All because it was available on 7Plus.

    It’s only a good thing if you can get as many donations as possible for the hospitals. I hope they discuss admin costs and where the money is going to, and how it’s used to dispel charity sceptics.
