TEN's biggest star exits the jungle after giving the series its most compelling scene yet.

A trimmed-down Shane Warne was voted out of TEN’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here last night, but not before a harrowing ordeal with a venomous tarantula.
Warne, who told his campmates he suffered from arachnophobia, was in tears as he struggled to hold the baboon tarantula on his hand for 30 seconds, as part of a group challenge.
Urged on by the remaining four celebrities Warne described it as the hardest thing he had ever done in his life. It made for the season’s most compelling viewing. Social media lit up with shocked reactions, and trending #1 nationally.
He said later he did it for his camp mates and to prove himself to his kids.
But it wasn’t much longer that his time in the jungle would be over, voted out just 4 days short of the final.
As the biggest name to enter the jungle across two seasons, Warne has delivered plenty of attention and conversation. But he has also shown traits that go beyond tabloid headlines, through his interaction and willingness to endure extreme challenges -several of them back to back.
The TEN series ends on Sunday with Paul Harragon, Brendan Fevola, Anthony Callea and Laurina Fleure still with their eye on the $250,000 prize.

Warne certainly didn’t provide $2mill worth of entertainment. He was far too concerned about how he was coming across unlike Laurina. The show needs more contestants like her who just don’t give a damn what anyone thinks. The constant name dropping and talking about himself made Warne a snore.
does anyone know how much the others are being paid for there time on the show?
No salaries are confirmed, they all negotiate different fees according to their star power.
i do not watch this show. does Warne still receive his full 2 million dollars now that he is eliminated or was it dependant on winning?
Not dependent on winning.
In Australia they have to hold a live big spider, in the UK version they have to eat one.
Still pretty impressive of Warne.
Fair play to Warnie – I wouldn’t have been able to even start the challenge without slipping into a terrified coma, let alone last 30 seconds.
Warren turned out to be far more boring than I think anyone expected.
Really not too much more to him that we’ve already seen.
Yes, found Shane a bit of a dud too – clearly no more to him than we’ve already seen.
I can think of many other well known “celebs” who surely would have been more interesting than Warnie.
Found the incessant name dropping and his chauvinistic attitude to women at times quite grating.
But good on him for having the courage to have a go holding the spider – clearly an absolutely terrifying and traumatic ordeal for him.
Warne is a boring contestant on IACGMOOH, although I do have respect for him in cricket.
It would have been nice if other contestant like Holly Brisley. By the way what happened to her since she left HAA?
Isn’t the prize in this case, $100,000 donated to the celebrities chosen charity?
Yes apart from the amount of money their manager negotiated in weekly appearance fees which would generally far exceed the donation.
That’s up to the celebrity, it comes out of their fee. I’d be surprised if everyone this year even had a manager. Val probably does her own deals!
