7flix is moving US musical Galavant from its 7pm Tuesday slot.

The show will now reappear 5:30pm Saturdays from May 7th.

“My Cousin Izzy”
Isabella wants Galavant to try and impress her parents, and he figures that the best way to do that is to rescue them.

It will be replaced by a Seinfeld rerun on Tuesdays.

Following Galavant on Saturdays is The Muppets at 6pm (just a fraction later than its current time).

“Little Green Lie”
Sparks fly when Kermit and Miss Piggy pretend that they are back together for the sake of Kermit’s impressionable nephew Robin. Pepe and Rizzo audition for a replacement wingman.

Galavant will roll into its second season, including an appearance by Kylie Minogue, alongside her now-fiance Joshua Sasse.

  1. David, any idea what the Galavant ratings have been like? I’m struggling to see any logic in the decision to remove Galavant from its Tues 7pm timeslot at all. In its 7pm Tues night slot it was up against Home & Away and A Current Affair and a large amount of essentially repeated US content on most of the rest of the FTA primary and secondary channels, unless they were 1 episode short in their marathon House Rules repeat-fest on Sat afternoon for some reason?

Some of the comments from others drawing comparisons between Galavant and Crazy Ex-Girlfreind is extremely encouraging (I have Galavant saved on PVR for viewing later and am enjoying watching Crazy Ex-Girlfreind a lot).

  2. Tone wise, Galavant is far more like Crazy Ex Girlfriend than anything else-a smart, dark comical musical-utterly not meant for the graveyard of late Saturday afternoon.

  3. I would totally be watching this show if i could get 7flix on my TV.
It also occurs to me that 7.30/5.30 is way too early for the type of audience they need to be aiming for. It should be a late-night treat, not something for kids.

  4. The phrase “shifting the deckchairs on the Titanic” comes to mind. After MKR ch7 needs every rating point it can get. Being 17th out of 19 channels and only just beating ABC for Kids must be embarrassing. (27/4/16)
