Nine wins week with Origin

Ratings: 2.3m Origin fans help Nine to their third outright ratings week, with Seven close behind.

Nine has won its third outright ratings week for the year with State of Origin topping the week with 2.3m viewers, down 310,000 on the first game last month.

Seven still put in a good performance given Nine’s absolute domination on Wednesday. MasterChef continues to dominate TEN’s week.

Nine won the demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven won Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Nine took Sunday and Wednesday. ABC bettered TEN on Saturday.

Seven was victorious in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Nine took Sydney and Brisbane.

Thought that nine would have been well ahead of seven this week with the lead in from State of Origin but it really did not happen, so don’t know what will happen after the third game if nine don’t have any more trump cards, think they will be wondering what they can do to rectify this, as you said seven did extremely well against the odds.
