The Veronicas to guest mentor on The Voice

Pop duo The Veronicas will guest star on The Voice on Sunday night.

The switch-up happens due to the The Maddens having a previous commitment in the US. Originally Live shows were scheduled for Mondays. The change won’t affect acts chosen to continue, due to audience voting.

Viewers will still be seeing double with identical twins Jessica and Lisa Origliasso taking the reins from Joel and Benji Madden to mentor their team in the lead-up to live show number three on Sunday, June 26, at 7.00pm on Channel Nine.

In a world first, The Veronicas will perform their new track In My Blood, their first release since the self-titled 2014 album which spawned the number one multi-platinum single, You Ruin Me. The Veronicas will also appear on the Today Show and Today Extra on Monday, June 27, on Channel Nine.

“We’re really excited to fill Benji and Joel’s shoes and work with their artists over the next week. Benji and Joel seem to get along a lot better than we do, so we’re hoping they can give us some tips,” Jessica and Lisa said.

The Maddens will return to the big red chairs and resume their coaching duties on Sunday, July 3.
The winner of The Voice will receive the grand prize of a recording contract with Universal Music Australia, $100,000 in cash and a brand new Mazda3.

The Voice is a co-production between Endemol Shine Australia and Talpa Productions. The Australian series of The Voice is filmed at Fox Studios in Sydney.

7pm Sunday on Nine.
