One-time Neighbours star Margot Robbie will not only host Saturday Night Live -she gets to front the season premiere.
Given the popularity of the long-running show it’s quite a coup -last season the honour went to Miley Cyrus. Hosts also get to appear in sketches that frequently go viral.
The Weeknd will appear as musical guest for the episode, airing on October 1st in the US.
Season 42 sees new cast members including Alex Moffat, Melissa Villasenor and Mikey Day.
SNL airs in Australia on the Comedy channel.

That’s right comedy channel did not air season 41 and has chosen to ignore people asking questions about when it will be aired on their website. Therefore can not see them airing 42.
They are airing season 42, it is currently scheduled to premiere Saturday October 8 at 9:30.
Thanks for letting me know, glad it’s coming back. Really missed season 41.

Just checked the Foxtel guide, Comedy channel is showing SNL a week after the U.S. The season 42 premiere is scheduled for Saturday October 8 at 9:30.
I’m pretty sure SNL no longer is shown on the comedy channel. It used to show episodes that were a few years old. It then started showing them about a week behind. I don’t recall them being there for a year or more.
