Paying Attention? tops entertainment shows

Ratings: HYBPA? and a Trump interview both win their timeslots for TEN. Seven clinches the night thanks to multichannels.

TEN scored the top entertainment show on Monday with a weekly outing of Have You Been Paying Attention? on 849,000 viewers and topped all three demos. It’s a timely lift ahead of its season final next week.

A Trump: First Interview special also won its timeslot with 779,000 viewers, ahead of RBT (744,000) and The X Factor (697,000).

Without a Block lead-in Hyde and Seek slipped for Nine, down to 595,000, third in its slot.

Seven News and A Current Affair both won their slots.

 

While Nine lead in primary channels, Seven network won Monday with 27.6% then Nine 26.0%, TEN 20.9%, ABC 19.6% and SBS 5.9%.

Seven News was #1 with 1.12m/ 1.05m for Seven then Home and Away (717,000), The X Factor (697,000), The Chase (666,000 / 384,000) and Australia Beyond 2020 (474,000).  The Big Bang Theory was (288,000/ 256,000).

Nine News (1.03m / 998,000) led for Nine followed by ACA (911,000), RBT  (744,000), Hyde & Seek (595,000). A Second Test reached 443,000. Australian Crime Stories was 300,000.

Have You Been Paying Attention? (849,000) was best for TEN. Trump: First Interview drew 779,000. The Project was 621,000 / 430,000, TEN Eyewitness News was 493,000,  Life in Pieces was 300,000 / 193,000.

ABC News (767,000), Australian Story (670,000), 7:30 (657,000), Four Corners (637,000), Media Watch (635,000) and Q&A (547,000) comprised ABC’s night.

On SBS it was The Supervet (173,000), The Supervet: Bionic Stories (160,000), Cats Uncovered (128,000)  and SBS World News (121,000).

7TWO’s Rosemary and Thyme led multichannels with 239,000.

Sunrise: 389,000
Today:  295,000 (Nine advises a coding error will require an adjustment)
ABC News Breakfast: 114,000 / 62,000

  1. I think claudia might be the traitor on hyde and seek. Having a bomb put under her car but not detonate might be there to throw off the scent on her. It also seemed convenient having her colleagues there at the same time that the potential bombing occurred. She also would have the power to frame someone else. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens on the final.

    Is it too soon to see zoe ventoura in another car accident on an australian drama?

  2. Go HYBPA! 2016 has really been it’s year to come out of the woodwork and shine. So glad to see it doing so well. It’s just another sign that the ratings game never fails to surprise – before X Factor began, I would never have expected HYBPA to beat it, but that’ how it has turned out (even RBT was ahead of X Factor last night). I wonder if the story would be different if Seven lead with X Factor out of the Olympics, then Zumbo?
