How do you know what her financial or medical circumstances are? Gosh the poor woman is sick and her friends are helping her out. If you’re not interested in going fine but most entertainers do a lot of free work for charity all the time. Why shouldn’t they look out for each other? They frequently don’t have super or secure employment.
Yup, fair call. I was confusing this situation with one where a network news or caff program decides to help out some regular joe/joelene who has a story that they think will bring in the viewers.
You’re both right, nothing wrong with friends helping friends, just because they happen to be slightly famous.
That’s great and all but again there are many more people in worse circumstances both financially and medically. Who’s going to put on a show for them?
I presume their friends will get resourceful? That’s all that is happening here.
Maria has made very significant contributions to charity during her career, so it is lovely to see something being done for her in her hour of need.
