Super Netball on 9GEM: guide

9GEM will showcase four Netball matches per week including a Live Saturday night, from next week.

9GEM begins broadcasting the all new Super Netball competition from next week.

In a five-year agreement with Netball Australia, 9GEM will showcase four matches per week including a Live Saturday night, prime-time double-header, the Fast5 Netball World Series, and international matches in the Constellation Cup and Quad Series.

Hosting will be Sylvia Jeffreys, Clint Stanaway and Seb Costello, with Liz Ellis, Anne Sargeant, Cath Cox, Sharelle McMahon and Sue Gaudion commentating.

Courtside reporters will include Nine sports presenters Julie Snook, Tom Mitchell, Christine Ahern, Jack Burketa and Paddy Sweeney.

Nine’s Head of Netball, Keeley Devery, said: “Having been both a player and a broadcaster, I can say with absolute certainty that fans will love this supercharged broadcast of netball. We’ve stayed true to the hard-core fans as well as opening the door for people who just like to watch hard and fast athletes at the top of their game – going point-for-point over 60 heart-stopping minutes.”

Former Australian captain and 9GEM commentator Liz Ellis said: “It’s so exciting to see our sport step up another level. With Nine’s support, and having netball on television every Saturday night, it is an impressive recognition of the game. I can’t wait to get behind the microphone and call the action.”

Coverage also be broadcast via 9Now, Telstra TV and the Netball Live app with latest news at http://wwos.nine.com.au/netball.
