Bones star David Boreanaz has been cast in his next network project, an untitled Navy SEAL drama pilot for CBS.
He will play Jason, the respected, committed leader of his assault team who’s been through over a dozen deployments. The project follows the lives of the elite unit as they train and plan the most dangerous, high-stakes missions our country can ask. The cast also includes Jessica Pare, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., A.J. Buckley and Toni Trucks.
But Boreanaz also replaces Jim Caviezel, who exited the project over creative differences.
Bones comes to an end in Australia on April 4 after 12 seasons.

No Australian actor in the lead role!, this show cries out for the macho personality, I’m not sure David Boreanaz is fresh enough or young enough to make a credible Seal.
Sorry, SEAL.
He only had the 2004-2005 TV season off since 1997.
Its just a pilot, a lot of them are made few make it to series.
Good to see he has a new show. Be hard not to see him as Booth though. Hopefully 10 will pick it up.
