  1. What’s up with ABC TV having ad breaks during the comedy gala? Is this their way of showing less content to save costs? Hope its just a once off.

    2. I checked this. They were Oxfam plugs, and the Gala was a charity event. I agree they felt like ads but I think in the past Mental As week as done similar. Keen to see if this weekend’s event is uninterrupted.

      1. It’s not the Oxfam plugs that I had an issue with, As you mention ABC do that quite often during themed weeks or urgent appeals. It was the promos for ABC TV shows and ABC iview that I thought weren’t appropriate. One of the benefits of ABC TV is not having breaks within a program. I’d hate to think that content would be taken out the 7pm News, or breaks in a drama would become the norm.

          1. Yes, the show was broadcast on ABC TV last night with ABC show plugs in it, approximately every 20-30 minutes. I was watching the ABC TV live stream, but assume this mirrored what was played out on broadcast tv.

          3. The broadcast of the Comedy Gala Opening Night last night on ABC TV also had plugs for ABC TV and ABC iView during the broadcast. First one was at 8:55pm.
