Tony Danza to star in Netflix series The Good Cop

Who’s the Boss favourite Tony Danza is returning to television with a new Netflix series.

He will star in and produce in The Good Cop, a straight-to-series dramedy from the creator of Monk.

Based on Israeli format of the same name, the 10-episode series stars Danza as Tony Sr., a disgraced, former NYPD officer who never followed the rules.

He lives with his son, Tony Jr. (uncast), an earnest, obsessively honest NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules. The “odd couple” become unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly cautious son blunt, street-wise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.
