NITV’s Marngrook Footy Show is already looking ahead to AFL finals with Grant Hansen, Gilbert McAdam, Shelley Ware and Leila Gurruwiwi joined by Doug Hawkins and Robert DiPierdomenico this Thursday.
Ted Whitten Junior, will also join the panel to talk about the annual EJ Whitten Legends Game raising funds in support of prostate cancer research.
Stars of the AFLW Sabrina Frederick-Traub of the Brisbane Lions, and Melissa Hickey of Melbourne will discuss the inaugural AFLW State of Origin Game taking place on Saturday 2 September at Etihad Stadium. Melissa will be lining up for the Victorian side, and Sabrina for the Allies, a team made up of players all born in other states.
Retired Collingwood and Melbourne footballer Heritier Lumumba, formerly known as Harry O’Brien, will discuss his upcoming documentary Fair Game which will premiere on SBS on Sunday 3 September. The documentary recounts Heritier’s search for his identity as a black man, and how at the top of his game, he challenged racism and prejudice during his time at Collingwood Football Club and in the AFL.
Marngrook will continue every Thursday throughout the AFL Finals Series and will present a special Grand Final Show on Thursday 28 September.
