It’s a question that has been circling for weeks… where are the FOX shows on TEN?
Readers have noticed key titles have vanished from ELEVEN and TEN ever since the announcement of a deal with CBS.
News Corp reports FOX is understood to have been unhappy with the amount TEN offered to pay for its content.
“There’s no FOX shows on TEN at this stage,” a TEN spokesman has said, confirming the shows were pulled on Monday after FOX “verbally terminated” a deal until there was more clarity around the ownership of the network.
This leaves shows including Modern Family, The Simpsons, This is Us without a home plus reruns of Malcolm in the Middle, Futurama, MASH. Also in peril Bob’s Burgers, American Horror Story, Empire, Star, New Girl, The X-Files, Speechless, COPS, The Last Man on Earth, Fresh Off the Boat & American Crime Story.
A spokeswoman for FOX in LA said those close to the negotiations could not be reached for comment.
A spokeswoman for Nine said, “We would not be doing an overall deal with FOX. We might want to buy one of their shows but our focus is very much on local content.”
Seven did not respond to a request for comment.
Without a home this leaves Australian viewers open to all kinds of spoilers, but may send some to illegally seek out the shows via piracy.
However Foxtel also has a FOX deal and may swoop on some titles with Empire already screening on FOX8.

I hope Channel 10 can sort this mess out with FOX. I really like This Is Us and my sister really likes Modern Family.
Looks like Channel 10 will be airing the 1993 Bruce Willis action Movie – Striking Distance simulcast across all 3 channels.
Oh & I guess this is why New Girl suddenly disappeared on Friday nights.
If This is Us goes to foxtel I will be extremely angry. Hopefully they will manage to make some kind of a deal to keep the shows.
Ten programmers will be stressed now. They’ve lost Devil wears Prada

I think Seven will pick up Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers for 7Mate and maybe This is Us since its on NBC for their primary or 7Two. Everything else will go to Foxtel.
No thanks 7 can’t even schedule greys what hope would this is us have.
Eleven ratings will drop heaps now without the Simpsons, MASH & Malcolm in the Middle.
It is probably a case if the sand is shifting. If CBS takes over l expect we will see more CBS content coming through.
Well, not being able to watch The Simpsons anymore is a bit of a blow, but on the other hand, I always did like Happy Days better than MASH.
I fail to see why anyone is surprised…the network is in receivership….bound to be big turmoil….
Same for me with F1….but if someone throws money at the sinking ship….the receivers are obliged to take what they can get …to keep things afloat….I did not like the move…but I totally understand the logic….
Just checked out the guide for 11, it is pretty bleak. Surely CBS content gives them more than just everybody loves raymond, frasier and king of queens. That pretty much sums up most of their afternoon/evening viewing.
i love This Is Us. hopefully we will see it again on aussie tv screens, it’ll be good to see it on 9
No 9 are the worst for airing us drama on their past track record.
Interesting to see M*A*S*H included here. M*A*S*H hasn’t been shown on TEN’s main channel for more than 10 years. The last time it was on a main FTA channel was on Seven at 5PM Mon – Frid. It was taken off to show The (Big W) Price Is Right. So if Seven could show M*A*S*H why can’t they also show The Simpsons and Modern Family?
Seven may well do down the track, however on a secondary channel like how M*A*S*H has been running on ONE for the last couple of years.
Could see Bob’s Burgers fitting in with 7Mate’s airings of Fox’s Family Guy and TBS’s American Dad (which was on Fox when 7 first got it). Also have to remember that 7 originally had Futurama in first runs so that and The Simpsons could tuck in nicely on 7Flix. Lik 5:30pm Futurama 6:00pm The Simpsons with Married With Children and The Nanny following both currently in double episodes (MWC: 5:30pm 6:30pm The Nanny 6:30pm – 7:30pm).
In fact on the Fox in the US Sunday Night it’s generally 7:30pm Bob’s Burgers, 8:00pm The Simpsons, 9:00pm Family Guy, 9:30pm The Last Man On Earth. With a new show Ghosted a half hour supernatural sitcom in at 8:30pm, that almost looks like a good 7Flix or 7Mate lineup to me.
Simpsons would be better on 7Mate and not 7Flix
Yeah more than likely as it would give them a good animation block, Futurama, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad. Really only put The Simpsons in with 7Flix as the other “family” sitcoms are there in Married With Children and The Nanny. To be honest I even think Married With Children is more a 7Mate show as well, it would actually pair up well with Malcolm In The Middle and possibly The Last Man On Earth if TEN lose those two as well.
In fact with the library that Fox and CBS both have, they could give 101Hits a good run for their money if they wanted to, really Seven should skew 7Flix to Family more. With 7Mate being what it is a channel for the other half of the planet would be a nice touch, like Nine first did with 9GEM, though can see Seven renaming it 7Chix.
Ch7 wouldn’t want to take viewers away from the main channel especially on Sunday nights and Ch9 are obsessed with UK medial one episode doco’s. I think that something will be worked out perhaps not for everything that used to air on Ten the bigger titles will stay, This is Us & Modern Family and perhaps new episodes of Simpsons maybe The New Girl as I suspect that this current season would be its last anyway. But would be interesting is SBS Viceland may look at picking up some of the Fox comedies they already have Brooklyn Nine Nine
This is US might fit into SBS like the good fight did.
Yep the Homer picture sums it up nicely for many viewers.
I will miss MASH, The Simpsons and I was looking forward to the new X-Files. Never watched any of the others. I don’t like the reality shows they have on tv, many are just utter rubbish.
Meh pretty much 98% of those shows don’t rate well anyway so it’s prob good thing for Ten to start with some fresh content and i’d be happy to say bye to Modern family, mash, This is Us & Malcolm. The Simpsons will be a bit of a loss but not much these days considering they aren’t really funny anymore and haven’t been for yrs
