Frankie Muniz quits I’m a Celebrity jungle

Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz has quit I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

He left after three weeks in the jungle, becoming the third cast member to depart.

After receiving a letter from home, Muniz cited missing his wife and three year old son as the reason he quit the show.

“My current situation with my wife and son is… I’m guilty of not noticing what they do for me,” he told his campmates.

“Hearing my wife say that my son is sad that I don’t play trucks with him, I realise I’ve been home so many days, and when I’m home I’m not present. And I’m so ready to be present.”

Later he told hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin, “It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Because this is honestly been one of the most amazing, positive experiences I’ve ever been a part of. So it was weird to have that dilemma playing in my mind of (being) so positive that I want to leave to use the positive I learned and apply it at home today. I didn’t want to wait any longer.

“But I didn’t want to let my campmates down because we’re all going through the same thing, but it just felt like it was the right time.

“When I came here I didn’t know what to expect at all. I thought I was gonna come, have fun. I knew it’d be hard. I didn’t think that it would be almost like a wellness retreat, in a sense. I made such amazing friends and you get so comfortable with them and they ask questions that you don’t get asked. It made me think about things for the first time when I was answering them. I really had realisations in the moment…. it like hit me hard.

“You become vulnerable in there. You have so much time to talk and really get to know people.”

Muniz follows in the rare footsteps of stars who have quit the series of their own volition including Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Mel Buttle, Anthony Mundine, Bernard Tomic.

Later former Biggest Loser trainer Michelle Bridges was voted out after receiving the lowest amount of ‘save’ votes by viewers.

At least 4 more celebs will exit the jungle by Thursday night with a King or Queen of the jungle to be crowned next Sunday night.
