No Lisa Wilkinson is not joining TEN’s Gogglebox cast, but she will appear in a parody alongside hubby Peter FitzSimons tomorrow night in ABC’s The Yearly with Charlie Pickering special.

Also commenting on news moments from 2017 are Anthony Callea & husband Tim Campbell, Dave Hughes and wife Holly, and Sammy J & sidekick Randy.

The annual ABC show will also feature Yassmin Abdel-Magied in a Hard Chat interview with Tom Gleeson, with a few sly digs at outrage over her ANZAC comments this year.

But the show’s most controversial moment is saved for an interview with show regular Adam “Briggsy” Briggs, surrounding a statue of Governor Macquarie. This year there was debate over whether an inscription should be changed, or the statue removed altogether to acknowledge Indigenous injustices.

Tom Gleeson also has a surprise second Hard Chat interview for the fans….

You can catch it at 8:30pm Wednesday on ABC.

  1. Just caught up with The Yearly on iView.
    What a brilliant hour of television, I was in tears from laughter most of the time. So many highlights, especially both Hard Chat segments but the line where Pete and Lisa flick from 9 to 10…. priceless!!!

  2. One wonders what Ten is going to do with Lisa in 2018. The Sunday Project is dead so what now?? I can see her doing a Parkinson style show or a current affair signature show. We wait her return…
