Airdate: Meet the Parents: China

While commercial networks get excited over Take Me Out, SBS has already moved onto Asia’s next bizarro dating show Meet the Parents: China …..with a transgender host.

Following the booming success of If You Are The One, another hit dating show in China has reached Aussie shores – and it’s a lot closer to home than you’d think. Single hopefuls reach out to famed transgender actress Jin Xing for help with their love problems. But there is a catch – any potential partners must go through an intensive and gruelling interrogation with the contestant’s parents to proceed to the next stage.

Romance is right around the corner, but the potential partners must charm the parents first. A traditional spin on a modern romance dilemma, contestants will have to believe in their parents to find the one.
