Planet Earth II, Sherlock and Doctor Foster sold best to other countries in 2017.

The BBC have released information revealing which of their programmes sold best to other countries.

Planet Earth II, Sherlock and Doctor Foster proved to be immensely popular around the world in 2017.

When it comes to formats that were licensed globally, Strictly Come Dancing versions now air in 54 countries around the world.

Death in Paradise tops the titles in Australia, with Blue Planet II in New Zealand.

  1. Ch9 treat Sherlock like utter c**p… I wonder why they bother owning it.

    (BTW when I saw the Sherlock picture i thought this might have been news about S5… following Moffats promising words the other day… and my heart skipped a beat lol)

    1. I doubt that Doctor Who has been anywhere near the top for quite a long time now, and that includes the closing days of the 1963 series too. It certainly hasn’t been helped by the destruction rained upon pretty much every aspect of the 1963 series by the 2005 series.

    1. Death in Paradise, runs on BBC First, then the ABC 12 months later and older episodes air on UKTV and Gem. Similar for Sherlock its on Stan, Nine/Gem, ABC and the BBC cable channels. Doctor Who just sells the ABC and then older eps are on the ABC And SyFy.
