Seven scored big in the second week of 2018 ratings, thanks again to My Kitchen Rules and the Winter Olympics.
Seven again won every night, every city topping demos, primary and multichannels.
But Nine increased its share at the same time as Seven’s diminished, effectively closing the gap between the two. Married at First sight grew higher, scoring the first 4 slots across the week.
ABC, TEN & SBS all managed to increase share from the previous week.
With the Winter Olympics now concluded the real jockeying for first place begins tonight.

Olympics are always run at a loss, don’t be surprised by an announcement that the loss was $20M or there about!
Where to now for Seven – Spartan & MKR in big trouble !!! MAFS going gangbusters.
Can’t see Spartan screening again on Sunday night.
For Seven the AFL cant start soon enough. could be along 4 weeks
Seven could do an MKR / Spartan double, which would move it away from MAFS. Good Doctor remains strong. Keen to see how Resident & Aus Swimming Championships do. It will be a more even battle now, but hardly one that is over.
Neddy, where is there any mention of Spartan in this story? How do you know how it rated? I’d like to know how it rated from the horse’s mouth rather than blind speculation.
I posted the ratings at 9:30 this morning? Check under Ratings or News. There are multiple sections of the site for you to explore as desired.
MKR is lowest ever, but hardly in trouble. Spartan is the bigger concern. The viewers aren’t idiots, and they saw through the promos for it really is – a Ninja clone.
Winter Olympics were such a success for Seven, despite various criticism.
TENS numbers are absolutely woeful. Nothing higher than 644k. Eek, going to be a long year.
The thing is that I’m a celebrity will probably finish before Easter ratings. MCA and HYBPA will return in May. Time will tell.
