Roseanne: teaser

A teaser for the revived season of Roseanne sees a table read with cast, in which Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) says to Dan (John Goodman) “Dan! I thought you were dead!”

The line of course refers to his death by heart attack in a previous season.

But Goodman is back for Season 10, along with Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Sarah Chalke, Michael Fishman and Sara Gilbert for 9 new episodes. Johnny Galecki also recently confirmed his return as David.

How Dan is magically alive again will be explained in the premiere episode which screens in the US in late March. Speaking to press recently, Goodman said he “didn’t really care” about the way his character was brought back.

“I thought it was a clever way to do it, handle it and get it out of the way,” he said.

Barr told press the original series finale will be addressed throughout the new episodes.

An Australian broadcaster is yet to be announced.
