Former Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen looks like he will make a top Dave Allen in BBC’s upcoming biodrama Dave Allen at Peace.
Due to air this year in the UK, the drama will explore how Allen’s comedy genius was shaped by the tragic loss of his father, his brother… and his finger.
Allen received his first big break in Australia, hosting Tonight With Dave Allen on Nine in 1963 before later being fired.
A broadcaster for Australia has not been confirmed (but probably BBC First).
