Airdate: Just One Look

What if your whole life was just a lie?

2017 French drama series Just One Look gets a late night premiere on SBS next week.

This is a 10 part series which begins with a double episode.

Adapted from the best-selling novel by Harlan Coben, this French series follows a wife’s frantic search for her husband and his secret life. Eva has only one thing on her mind – and that is to find him at all costs. Her search reawakens old wounds and puts their children at risk, but she must find answers before it’s too late. Stars Virginie Ledoyen.

Series One, Episode One:
For Eva Beaufils, it took just one glance at an old photo to turn her whole world upside down. That photo holds an incredible secret. Suddenly, her husband Bastien disappears. Eva has only one goal: find him at all costs. Even if it reawakens old wounds and puts their children at risk, Eva knows that this is the only search that can give her the answer – is love stronger than lies?

Episode Two:
Eve searches for every possible clue that could lead her to Bastien. But instead of helping her understand why her husband ran away, all her discoveries only confuse her more. Why did Bastien ask to meet her without calling the police? What is he hiding from them? And who is that man who abducted him and left a trail of dead bodies in his wake? Eva has no choice. She will stop at nothing to find her husband. But soon her own past reveals surprises of its own, and she doesn’t know who to trust.

Monday, 12 March at 11.35pm on SBS.

  1. It seems that all good foreign drama is relegated to the wee small hours! I like to record all episodes before watching a series, and always fast-forward through the annoying ads, or if I have the time I’ll edit out the ads so I can watch without getting annoyed. SBS used to be my favourite station, before ads were plopped into their programs. I use discretion in watching them now. Never watch movies with ads in them – never!

  2. SBS programmers have seen all eps of “Juste un regard” and given it a late night timeslot which makes it straight-to-pvr for me. No reviews on IMDb but plenty for the novel on Goodreads which gave it 4 out of 5 stars.
