Airdate: Requiem


New UK drama Requiem, penned by Australian screenwriters Kris Mrksa & Blake Ayshford, will have its local premiere on Netflix next week.

The 6 part BBC drama has attracted good reviews and stars Lydia Wilson, Joel Fry, James Frecheville, Sian Reese-Williams & Brendan Coyle.

It screened in the UK last month.

A young woman investigates the historic disappearance of a girl from a small Welsh village, unraveling her own identity in the process.

Requiem is written by Kris Mrksa (episodes 1-4 and 6) and Blake Ayshford (episode 5). The series is directed by Mahalia Belo, produced by Susan Breen and executive produced by Willow Grylls, Elaine Pyke and Charlie Pattinson for New Pictures, Kris Mrksa and Christopher Aird for BBC.

Friday March 23 on Netflix.


  1. There’s another limited season BBC/Netflix police drama offering called ‘Collateral’ worth watching as well, the show provides a somewhat concerning look at contemporary UK life with a leftist slant but its well made non the less.

    Been looking forward to it since I heard its announcement. UK crime programming – both in drama and documentary – of late has been quite good. Not top-notch, but close.

    I know I’m jumping the gun here slightly, but do we know who’s in line to air the 3-part Ruth Ellis doco?
