Show Me the Movie: Mar 22

Guests: Paul Mercurio, Tegan Higginbotham, Frank Woodley and Angela Bishop.

TEN’s new quiz panel Show Me the Movie starts tonight with Rove McManus, Joel Creasey & Jane Harber joined by Paul Mercurio, Tegan Higginbotham, Frank Woodley and Angela Bishop.

The show is co-created by Paul Clarke (Spicks & Specks) and Ben Davies (Bondi Rescue, Here Come The Habibs).

TEN has not sent any preview episodes so I was a bit hesitant to make it today’s Daily Pick, but will be tuning in tonight.

Grab a choc top, pop the corn and settle in for a guaranteed five-star night of movies and comedy. The brand new studio-based series, Show Me The Movie!, premieres tonight at 7.30pm, only on TEN and WIN Network.

Hosted by triple TV Week Gold Logie award-winning presenter and movie tragic Rove McManus, Show Me The Movie! features two competing teams captained by acclaimed actor Jane Harber and comedy star Joel Creasey.

Each week, Rove, Jane and Joel will be joined by a stellar cast of different actors, comedians and visiting international stars, who will do battle in a series of funny, irreverent and always entertaining rounds.

Tonight will see Rove put Scott Eastwood’s cinema knowledge to the test alongside an interview about his new film, Pacific Rim Uprising.

On Jane’s team are Strictly Ballroom’s Paul Mercurio and comedian Tegan Higginbotham.

And Joel’s team will be rounded out by funny man Frank Woodley and reporter to the stars Angela Bishop.

7.30pm tonight on TEN.

  1. Channel Ten , go back to the drawing Board ..Ridiculous Show ever , Axe it now !! Rove go back to the US .. Watched it for 5 mins and changed channel Thank God I did watched a more suitable show, not grown -up show of Play School with real puppets .

  2. Made by the people that made Spicks and Specks comment didn’t fool me. Dark Matter was made by the same people who made Stargate series. Dark Matter only lasted 3 seasons ,compared to Stargate lasting around 10 seasons. Rove is annoying …..everything about the show is annoying. Changed the station to Spicks and Specks instead after 10 minutes.

    1. So…I almost turned off in the first 10 minutes…lazy…then I sort of got into it…
I am not sure how committed I will be …but learnt a few interesting facts…Like Paul Hogan turned down Ghost…who knew?!?

    1. I really have never been able to stand Rove, but tried to watch the whovians, I ended up just wanting to slap him to stop him rambling on……. he is really annoying.

  3. Worth a peek. I like Joel and Jane Harber (another of those unheralded supporting actor performances from Offspring). Rove gives me the irrits in large doses so hopefully this isn’t a large dose!!!!

    1. Sadly, I think Ten would take those numbers at this stage… they would also be reluctant to yank Rove off TV that quickly I would imagine…
