TEN teasing Shark Tank, HYBPA?, MasterChef & Instinct.

Local favourites and a new US drama are on the way.

TEN has recently been teasing returning local shows Shark Tank, MasterChef Australia, and Have You Been Paying Attention?

US drama Instinct with Alan Cumming is also on the way.

No premiere dates have been released.

Shark Tank:

The five sharks – internet pioneer Steve Baxter, Boost Juice entrepreneur Janine Allis, self-made millionaire and entrepreneur Andrew Banks, RedBalloon experience founder Naomi Simson and Dr Glen Richards, founder of Australia’s largest pet-care company, Greencross – are ready to deliver an action-packed season featuring a diverse range of entrepreneurs.

Ranging from the wonderful to the wacky, the products presented before the Sharks this season include the world’s first fully articulated, life-like and camera-ready prosthetic baby, an online site selling rude and un-PC gifts and a “donug”, a cross between a chicken nugget and a donut.

The sharks have invested over $21 million of their own money since series one. While they are happy to take the bait for the brilliant ideas, the pitches that are less impressive will be torn to shreds.

The sharks are out to play this season and are taking no prisoners, with the entrepreneurs or with each other. Which pitch will cause the outspoken Steve Baxter to storm out of the Tank?

Instinct:

The hit new US drama series Instinct starring Tony Award-winning actor Alan Cumming (The Good Wife) as former CIA operative Doctor Dylan Reinhart is coming soon to TEN and WIN Network.

Doctor Dylan Reinhart is a gifted author and university professor living a quiet life teaching abnormal behaviour to packed classes of adoring students.

When tenacious New York Police Department homicide detective Lizzie Needham (Bojana Novakovic) appeals to him to help catch a murderer using his first book as a tutorial, Dylan is compelled to come out of retirement.

Re-energised while tapping into his old skill set, Dylan’s husband Andy (Daniel Ings) becomes concerned that he is breaking their pact about putting away the cloak-and-dagger lifestyle for good.

Although Dylan and Lizzie initially clash, when it comes to catching killers, an ideal partnership may be on the cards if they both trust their instincts.

Written by Michael Rauch and adapted from James Patterson and Howard Roughan’s 2017 book Murder Games, Instinct also stars Naveen Andrews (Lost, The English Patient) as Julian Cousins and Sharon Leal (Dreamgirls, Supergirl) as Lt. Jasmine Gooden.

MasterChef Australia:

In what promises to be a season full of surprises, the wait is almost over for the return of MasterChef Australia in its remarkable 10th season.

The 2018 season welcomes back some of the most respected chefs in Australia and the world including Maggie Beer, Curtis Stone, Adriano Zumbo, Darren Purchese, Kristen Tibballs and domestic goddess Nigella Lawson. For the first time, internationally renowned Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay will enter the kitchen.

Also on MasterChef Australia this season is a nail-biting challenge featuring the legendary Melbourne Football Club, a week exploring picturesque South Australia and for an incredibly lucky group of contestants, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cook for His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, in Darwin.

MasterChef Australia is a cooking competition like no other. It transforms lives, inspires the nation and impresses the world’s best chefs. In a season full of surprises, season 10 will have it all.

Have You Been Paying Attention?:

  1. Looking forward to Shark Tank, pretty well the only show I watch on Ten. Hopefully they don’t rush the season with unnecessary double episodes. With cupboards so bare of content, they should run it once per week so they have something decent running across until Gogglebox or other high rating shows are back.

  2. ‘Instinct’ looks like a cross between ‘Castle’ and ‘Murder She Wrote’. Looks fun, but reviews are almost unanimously average. It could be a huge breakthrough for Aussie Bojana Novakovic though.

    1. It tapes on a Sunday night to air on a Monday… are you sure that’s not what the event is regarding?
I don’t see why Ten would move the show to Sunday when it’s a solid Monday night performer
