Two female directors decide to make a film based on real women’s erotic memories and reflections. This depicts what happens after they send out a casting call and over 100 young Copenhagen women replied.

Female sexuality is too often portrayed in stereotypes. Venus: Let’s Talk About Sex offers an alternative and authentic inside perspective on how modern females perceive themselves.

Venus: Let’s Talk About Sex is an honest bed-sheet-portrait of young women in the Kingdom of Denmark. Fifteen young women have been chosen to record their own erotic diaries and five will re-enact and re-live their most memorable sexual experiences.

The film is based on two Danish female directors’ sexual frustrations growing up in this (allegedly) sexual liberated society and their desire to confront their own erotic identities.

Denmark is famous for being the first country in the world to legalise porn and today it still maintains an international reputation of sexual free-mindedness. This film will tell if this is still valid for the new generation.
