“Who We Are”

Jessika was born in 1989, and is a Maltese singer-songwriter and actress. She was first discovered on Maltese national television in 2008 during the Malta Song for Europe Festival. Her debut song, Tangled, hit the airwaves some weeks later. In 2011 Jessika managed to make it to the finals of the national selection for the Eurovsion Song Contest, Malta Eurovision Song Contest with the song Down Down Down, which she wrote herself.

Two of Jessika’s later songs, Love Is A Fire and Dance Romance made it to the Maltese national selection for Eurovision again in 2012. In 2013 Jessika returned to the competition with Ultraviolet and placed fourth in the public vote.

In 2014 Jessika teamed up with Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg and created the song Hypnotica that won the TVM Award and placed first in the public vote. That same year she would participate again in the Maltese national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with her song Fandango.
