Season 4 of Poldark will air on ABC in 3 week’s time.
As no airdate has yet been announced in the UK this is likely to be fast-tracked by ABC.
Season 4 draws on the final third of Winston Graham’s sixth Poldark book The Four Swans and all of book seven, The Angry Tide, running until Christmas 1799.
In Cornwall, George Warleggan continues to build his empire in a bid to crush the Poldarks and Elizabeth resolves to forge a new life for herself as his wife and a Warleggan, burying her past and Ross with it.
8:15pm Saturday June 16 on ABC.

UK return is June 10 so a few days later for Oz.
Love Poldark !
Can’t wait ! But yeah, a really odd choice programming it for Saturday night as it rated well on Sunday nights.
I don’t mind Poldark moving to Saturday nights!
It’s interesting that the ABC seems to be betting the house on “Mystery Road” getting a big audience on Sunday nights – that remains to be seen
It does seem very odd to shift it “off Broadway”. I’d watch it whatever time it was on, admittedly, but why not have a bit of swap-one-two with Mystery Road?
Yes a little odd to air it on a Saturday night after it’s successful Sunday night time slot. Looking forward to it nonetheless.
Great series, will wait as I have to to watch, a bit puzzled as to why it is screening of a Saturday night instead of its usual Sunday slot.
