Royals special beats Interview on Tuesday

Ratings: Just 3,000 splits two Reality juggernauts, but House Rules numbers impact Interview. Nine wins Tuesday.

Only 3,000 split viewers between TEN & Nine reality offerings last night.

MasterChef pulled 845,000 to The Voice‘s 842,000 with TEN leading the demos. That left House Rules on 621,000, a negligible increase on its 607,000 debut with ABC Budget coverage in 4th and Who Do You Think You Are? in 5th place.

Around 9pm Nine’s Meghan & Harry special won its slot on 504,000 ahead of Interview‘s 393,000 -down by 56,000 to its soft lead-in- and Hughesy on 389,000. Ironically a Camilla special took a back seat on ABC.

ABC Budget coverage kept the broadcaster in fourth place from 7:30pm until around 9:40pm when it was a bunfight.

Nine network won Tuesday with 29.8% then Seven 26.7%, TEN 20.6%, ABC 15.9% and SBS 7.0%.

On SBS it was Who Do You Think You Are? (334,000), Insight (192,000), SBS World News (164,000) and Dateline (118,000).

7mate’s Outback Truckers topped multichannels at 213,000.

  1. Sheesh, the takeaway from this story is how atrocious Studio 10’s rating are. Total freefall. The exit of originals Jess Rowe and Ita Buttrose have sucker-punched the show. Boring Ang Biship and Denise whoever from Melbourne are clearly not working. Used to love this show. Its not only jumped the shark, its been eaten by it

  2. I watched Interview…enjoyed the Cher one…in the hotel room….I do not care for the way the studio ones are done…I will be watching The Real Camilla: Duchess of Cornwall …on iview..shortly…..I was also watching Budget news…. I may watch ‘Who do you think you are’ on catch up.

  3. The ‘Who do you think you are’ subject John Jarratt was one of the best and most interesting of all the local characters to appear on this show and deserved a larger audience. Unfortunately SBS appears to be a ‘no go zone’ for most viewers.

  4. Studio 10 only scoring 46,000. Shhhh – don’t tell anyone at News that’s the figure. The way they cover the manufactured dramas of morning television, I assume News believes the whole world is watching Studio 10, Sunrise and Today. The facts of the figures reveals a very different tale.

  5. Liked what I saw from Andrew’s interview with Cher last night while I was on a break at work. Good that an interviewer isn’t afraid to bring up what he is thinking. Happy to see Outback Truckers return with good numbers. I’m looking forward to watching it on 7Plus later in the week.

  6. Thought Masterchef would lift Hughesy but that was not the case.
Judges on Masterchef are much better than MKR and the overall competition appears much more credible therefore much better viewing.
